PRIVACY NOTICE

This notice explains what Agni, Inc. (“Agni”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use LightsKiddo (our Mac, iPhone and Android apps, lightskiddo.com, films.lightskiddo.com, app.lightskiddo.com and our plugins), why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We are the controller of your account information. When a studio uses LightsKiddo to keep its clients’ or crew’s details, the studio decides what is kept and we process it on the studio’s behalf.

1. WHAT WE COLLECT

What you give us

• Account: name, email, and optionally a phone number and profile photo. Sign-in is handled by Clerk; if you sign in with Google or Apple we receive your name and email from them.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We keep your plan, credit balance and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, never card numbers.
• Your projects: scripts, notes, schedules, budgets, shot lists, uploads, images, video, audio, generated media and chat messages.
• People in your projects: names, roles, contact details, rates, availability and emergency contacts of crew and cast that you or your team enter.
• Photos of people you apply to characters as references.
• Voice: voice notes and recordings, and voice samples if you clone a voice.
• Support: your messages, bug reports and any screenshots attached to them.

What is collected as you use the apps

• Precise location: when you take a Viewfinder still or a previs capture on iPhone or Android, it is saved with where and how it was taken (location, accuracy, altitude, compass heading and tilt), and everyone in the project can see it. You can also pin shooting locations. Location is used only while the app is open.
• Device and app information: app version, device type, push-notification tokens, and usage events from the Mac app that we use to fix and improve it.
• Technical logs: IP addresses and request details in our server logs.

Sensitive information

Some of this counts as sensitive in some places: precise location; face geometry, which we derive from a photo when you apply it to a character, so the AI keeps that face consistent (a “character model”); and voiceprints, when you clone a voice. We use these only for the feature you asked for, and we never sell them.

2. WHY WE USE IT

• To create and secure your account and run the features you use, including sharing with your project’s members
• To bill you and send you service messages, such as subscription confirmations and renewal reminders
• To keep the Service safe, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet legal obligations
• To fix and improve the apps
• To conduct internal research and analysis on how the Service works, and to publish aggregate, de-identified findings from that research

In the EU and UK our legal bases are: our contract with you (running the Service), legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, improving the Service and research), legal obligation, and consent where we ask for it.

3. AI FEATURES: WHAT IS SENT AND TO WHOM

AI features send what they need to the companies that run the models. The Mac app and films.lightskiddo.com ask for your agreement before the first AI request; in the iPhone and Android apps, using an AI feature sends the request.

• Anthropic and OpenAI: text you type, the script and project details a request needs, and, when you ask the assistant about your team or contacts, those details.
• fal.ai and the model makers it routes requests to (including Kling by Kuaishou, Seedance and Seedream by ByteDance, MiniMax and Vidu, some of which are based in China): prompts and reference images, including photos of people.
• OpenAI (Whisper): recordings you send for transcription. Transcription happens on their servers, not on your device.
• ElevenLabs: text to speak, and voice samples when you clone a voice.
• RunPod: prompts and images for the image models we run ourselves, including building character models from photos.
• Tavily: web searches the assistant runs for you.

We don’t use your content to train general-purpose AI models. A character model built from a photo is used only in your project. Each provider handles the data under its own terms for API customers.

4. WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

• The people you work with: your project’s and studio’s members, according to their roles.
• Service providers who process data for us: Fly.io (hosting), Neon (database), Upstash (queues and caches), Backblaze B2 (file storage), Vercel (websites), Clerk (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), the AI providers in section 3, Google Maps, Apple WeatherKit, Open-Meteo, sunrise-sunset.org and OpenStreetMap (maps, places, weather and sun times), TMDB (film reference data), Jitsi (video meetings), GitHub (handling bug reports), and Google Drive and Calendar if you connect them.
• Legal and safety: when the law requires it, to protect people, or to report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
• Business transfers: if Agni is merged or sold.

We don’t sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

5. COOKIES

We use only the cookies needed to sign you in and to keep a demo session working. We use no advertising or third-party analytics cookies. We don’t respond to Do-Not-Track signals because we don’t track you across sites.

6. YOUR CHOICES

• AI features: you can withdraw your agreement on the Mac in Account, and on the web in Account and billing; AI features stop until you agree again. Data already sent stays with the provider under its terms; ask us and we’ll ask the provider to delete it.
• Photos and voices of other people: use them only with that person’s consent (see our Terms).
• Location: turn off location access for the app in your device’s settings.
• Recordings: tell people when you record them and get their consent.
• Email: we send only service messages about your account and subscription.

7. WHERE IT IS PROCESSED

Mainly in the United States, where our hosting, database and storage are, and wherever our providers operate, including China for some video models reached through fal.ai. When personal information leaves the EU or UK, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, as each provider offers.

8. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

• Account information: until you delete your account.
• Project content: until you, or the project’s owner, delete it. Projects shared with others stay with them when you leave.
• Files (uploads, generated media, recordings): when you delete your account or a file, some stored copies can remain in our file storage. Email us and we will remove them within 30 days.
• Face models and voice clones: kept while the character or voice is in your project. We delete them within 30 days of a request, and at the latest 3 years after your last use of LightsKiddo.
• Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Server logs: for a limited period, for security and troubleshooting.

9. CHILDREN

LightsKiddo is for people 18 and over. If we learn that we have information from someone younger, we delete it.

10. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your information, object to or restrict some uses of it, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection regulator.

• Delete your account in the app: on the Mac in Account, on iPhone in Account, on Android in the menu on the projects screen.
• Everything else: email info@lightskiddo.com. We reply within 30 days and may need to confirm it’s you.

We won’t treat you differently for using your rights. California and other U.S. state residents: we don’t sell or share personal information, and we use sensitive personal information only to provide the Service.

11. SECURITY

We encrypt data in transit and limit who can access it. If a breach affects your information, we notify you and the authorities as the law requires. Report security issues to info@lightskiddo.com.

12. CHANGES

We post changes here with a new date, and tell you in the app or by email about material changes.
